Who is Toni Aaltonen?

Your friendly neighborhood game / level designer with a burning drive towards improving my skillset through constant iteration.

I am currently working as a level designer at Housemarque. I also have +1 year of experience as a co-founder of Biting Mascot, as well as multiple years of experience in game development overall.

Whether I’m designing mechanics or levels, I love working on games where the gameplay directs the experience.

Skills

Game design

General game design knowledge and experience from multiple projects. Mechanics design, system design, UI/UX design, design directing etc.

Level design

True passion. Directed level design in multiple professional and personal projects. Most experience in the level design of gameplay-focused single-player games.

Unity & Unreal Engine 4

Almost all of my projects are made with Unity or Unreal Engine 4. Able to prototype features independently with either engine. Unity being the more familiar one though.

Scripting (C#)

Able to create versatile code and prototype features with C# in Unity. Mentored by professional programmers. I have participated in the programming in all of my projects.
