Captain’s Tail (2018)

Biting Mascot’s Captain’s Tail is a fast-paced 3D platformer made with Unity. In November 2018 we released a public demo of the game for PC.

I worked as the lead designer of this project, directing the game’s vision and design pillars. I designed all of the game’s core mechanics in cooperation with all the feedback I got. I was also responsible for designing all 3 levels of the public demo. This was my first time using Unity’s ProBuilder for whiteboxing, but I managed to learn it quickly and it proved to be a very useful tool.

When designing the game, we wanted to focus on the joy of movement and make the player feel agile through gameplay. Both the mechanics and levels went through a lot of iteration before they ended up in their release state. This project was a crazy huge level design learning experience for myself, I loved it!
